  • MN High School E-Sports

    Join the Mounds View Public Schools Esports and compete against other high schools run through Minnesota Varsity League (MMVL)! Each season begins with 2 (two) weeks of preseason, followed by 8 (eight) weeks of regular season and State Finals. Each game is scheduled to be played weekly. See the dates and times below. Your team and coach will virtually check-in with each other on a weekly basis and you will be required to practice with your team 4-8+ hours a week.     Solvers of all levels are welcome! Take your cubing skills to the next level. Solve Rubik’s cubes, use official competition equipment, learn new algorithms and finger tricks, explore tons of twisty puzzles, create mosaics and patterns and build a robot that solves the Rubik’s cube! Participants will also receive a speed cube! Presented by Cube Enrichment.     Come play fun music with your friends! Jazz Band will give students an opportunity to explore new types of music and new styles of playing in a fun, low-pressure environment. Currently open to any 6th grade band student at Chippewa, regardless of instrument. Concert will be on May 2, 2024.   • Pre-Karate

    Provide your child with a chance to explore beginner karate in a small low-key group. The class will focus on the fundamentals of learning Shotokan karate, which are our stances, with punching, kicking, and blocking techniques. We also do fun activities to stay engaged, and work on our ability to balance, concentrate, and work together with partners. Students will learn some Japanese customs and words that we use as part of our training.
  • Henna Art - ALL AGES!

    Discover the rich culture of henna. Henna is a dye prepared from leaves of a henna tree also known as Egyptian privet. Henna is temporary body art resulting from the staining of the skin from the dyes. After stains reach their peak color, they hold for a few days, then gradually wear off, typically within two to three weeks. Learn the basics of henna tattoos and practice them. The instructor will fill in or finish your henna design and take home your henna cone. Presented by Acrylic Art Studio Registration Fee for one adult 18+ is $35. Registration for all Adult/Child pairs are $64.
  • Mountain Biking 101 - Try it Out!

    Experience the thrill of mountain biking taught by coaches and senior members of the Mounds View/ Irondale High School Mountain Bike Team. This hands-on class will introduce the fundamentals of mountain biking to students in the Mounds View School District 6 th -12 th grade (home-schooled students are welcome as well!). Riders will: - Learn proper bike fit, body position, and how to ride in a group - Practice efficient braking, shifting, and cornering - Ride on a beginner friendly single-track trail Required equipment: A bike shop quality mountain bike (no department store bikes, no hybrid style road bikes), comfortable clothing with close toed shoes, and a helmet.     This is a skill-based instructional camp. The emphasis is to improve the individual skills of each athlete. Girls will play and compete with players of similar skills.     Tykes Sports T-Ball

    Looking for a fun introduction to baseball? DASH Sports baseball Tykes camp introduces players to key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and baserunning. The final day of classes is ‘Game Day’ and athletes will showcase their skills in a game environment. Athletes should bring a water bottle and a baseball glove. Baseballs and bats are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group.     Young artists, inspired by Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein,” embark on a creative journey to deconstruct the classic tale. Led by a director, participants will explore themes, characters and scenarios. They will utilize acting exercises to shape these into a contemporary narrative. This transformative experience empowers individuals to find their voices, embrace their power and tell their unique stories in a reinvented “Frankenstein” narrative.     This camp is focused on players developing their goalie skills in the off season. Focus will be on developing skills both fundamental and agility to be successful in the goal. Open to players interested in trying goalie as well as to goalkeepers looking to continue to develop their skill set.
  • Mustang Football June Camp

    This camp will officially kickoff the 2024 Mustang Football journey. We will practice individual technique and drill work specific to each participant's position. Over this four-day camp, we will be instilling the foundation of our offensive and defensive schemes. Students are responsible for bringing their own cleats and water bottle.

    Spend the day learning how to ride a horse, including lance and control in the saddle, leading and in-hand work. Other activities may include braiding a horse’s mane, groom, play horse tag and help feed, water and care for horses. Participants are responsible for their own transportation. Location: Boulder Pointe Equestrian and Event Center.
